Texan Theater Greenville: A Community Hub for Arts and Great Food

Oh Lord! What a beautiful venue! They did everything possible to make the 1AFilmFest event a fantastic experience for our guests! We love Barbara's personal touch to the service and the staff were top notch! More Coffee Brisket?? YES PLEASE!!‼‼‼

Thank you so much Texan / movie /coffeehouse. For being so consistent, and being so consider for the people's of your city. The food is very good and great like all of the time . I sincerely appreciate the hospitality you have given to me. Great breakfast, and service! Puts a smile on a lot of faces around town. The owner chill is chill and easy to talk too. If you haven't tried, I suggest you do. .

Stopped in here on a Saturday just out of curiosity. Such a GREAT fun find !!! Also had a chance to talk to the owner (Barbara) at length. What she is doing with this business to help those in need help themselves, and to help those unable to help themselves, is truly inspirational !! And what is offered here really is very cool even if it wasn’t such a help to the community ! If business models such as this were more wide spread I can only imagine what a blessing it would be for our country as a whole!!!! I am definitely going to be a regular here !!!

My mother and I visited the Texan the Saturday before last. I was amazed to find this hidden gem in North Texas! The coffee was amazing, only overshadowed by the theater itself with it's Art Deco decor. It was refreshing to find an establishment which values the arts as they actually screen operas. I had the blessing to chat with Barbara while I was there, it was a true pleasure! She is so enthusiastic about maintaining the history of Greenville alive, allowing for a venue for the arts and giving back to the community! I will definitely visit again Lord willing!

I’m a local piano teacher, I did my most recent recital at this venue. Barb was AMAZING to work with. From the very start of messaging her, she was easy to communicate with, scheduling a date was a breeze. When I met her she was so welcoming and easy to talk to. You can tell right off the bat the absolute passion she has for theater and local arts. The venue is comfortable, absolutely GORGEOUS, and the acoustics of the theater are amazing. Not only that, but the theater offers great meals! You can go order at the counter in the lobby, then go to your seat in the theater and your food will be brought right to you! I highly recommend the Texan for any venue needs, or even if you just need a nice cup of coffee.

If you have not been to this beautiful place you are missing out. Barbara has built a beautiful and comfortable venue and has so much to offer. You can enjoy a free movie multiple times a week. Supports local arts and offers other free events. The other events are done in such an intimate setting it is such a different experience over giant venues where you cannot see the artist. Love coffee? Check out the coffee bar and the food is so good. Also such a servants heart. Buy a voucher to feed someone struggling for a meal while there. Let's support the growth of downtown!

Barbara and the Texan staff are amazing. They provide space for our Altrusa club to meet three times a month. If you are looking for a meeting space, Barbara has several options. She goes above and beyond to accommodate us. The Texan has been beautifully restored and is a must see.
